I normally hate this kind of music, but this is really quite good. Nice job on the review.

Everything about Jane Doe pwns hard. Did you re-submit this or did it get deleted for some reason?

I wish other metalcore bands had the consistency Converge does. The ability to write a metal song that clocks in a little over ten minutes, and stays fresh throughout is one hell of an acheivement. This Message Edited On 11.07.07

you know what's funny? Norma Jean wrote a 15 minute song. That is srsly a crime against music.

I just broke up with my girlfriend, that means: Jane Doe featuring RAHRAHR RUGH. Naw joke :O.

Good review btw, although it gets a bit stale towards the middle. This Message Edited On 11.07.07

In/humanity is not noisecore, I was always under the impression that noisecore was weird stuff like Ruins, Melt Banana, Polysics, Hella.

I've always associated noise/noisecore with having lots of feedback or distortion and obscure/nonsensical lyrics.

But I really know nothing on the genre so I'm probably wrong.

Noisecore doesn't exist. Its either just noise or noise rock.

This album rules.

But to be fair, Converge is good break-up music.

Their intensity and musicianship for one thing. Kurt is a really inventive guitarist too and Bannon's lyrics are amazing.

Bannon's lyrics on this album are fantastic, but they really do vary in greatness from album to album. The lyrics on No Heroes kinda blew ass.

It's because the themes were different I think. When Bannon focuses on relationships and the things surrounding them, there aren't many people who beat him.

yeah exactly. No Heroes was about the music scene and being yourself i believe. (correct me if i'm wrong)
