Do you know anything about vocals at all?.. ugh.

And anybody who called this shit grind, you're a fucking idiot and deserve to be stabbed.

I'm seriously so close to taking a shit all over all of you. This Message Edited On 11.01.07

just because the vocals use a "good" technique doesn't mean they sound good, mappy. Preference in vocals in extreme metal is usually subjective.

Fucking hell. The only beef I have with this album is that it really starts to drag after a while because of the similar songs. If they learn how to be more diverse then they could potentially kick serious ass.

And plus, mappy's making the most sense out of all of you.

Do you even fucking understand how impressive of a vocalist he is?

His high screams are in a feminine range ffs. His lows are freaking awesome, he does screamo vocals, he does non-cheesy spoken parts. He keeps things varied and fitting, the only issue is his lyrical content being childish, but half the time it's hilarious.

Also, I want to know how people can call this or Light This City thrash.

It's not that though, Oli sounds real fucking good, and most vocalists with better technique sound good. This Message Edited On 11.01.07

JR Hayes can do incredibly guttural lows. He can also shriek like a banshee. Jacob Bannon's highs are probably unmatched and the power in his vocals are amazing.

Oh yeah - Trevor Strnad >>>> Oli Sykes too.

Trevor's voice is cool, but it's a lot weaker than it used to be if you've seen The Black Dahlia Murder recently.

Jacob Bannon's vocals are mostly effects, he can't even project his screams anymore. I love both vocalists, don't get me wrong, but Oli Sykes is a lot better of a vocalist technically speaking, and his voice will last a lot longer.

If you want somebody absurd, try maybe Anthony Gunnells (Through The Eyes Of The Dead's old singer) or Eddie Hermida (from All Shall Perish).

JR Hayes is still immense.

Yeah, the dude from All Shall Perish is very talented, particularly his highs. And even though everyone hates on Job For A Cowboy, Johnny is a very adept and versatile vocalist.

Johnny's style on Genesis reminds me of Corpsegrinder - just slightly less refined.

Chris Fox from See You Next Tuesday is another really talented vocalist.

Johnny's actually a lot more proper than Corpsegrinder, I love Corpsegrinder's vocals, but his voice is so low because it's so broken, he can't even really do highs anymore. :/

Still sounds brutal as fuck though. This Message Edited On 11.01.07
