Album is so fucking brilliant. They totally reinvented themselves again, the album is very minimalist and I think has a heavy The Eraser influence. But their's no real abrupt time changes within the songs a la Hail To The Thief, all the songs maintain a very chill feel. I love how every track fades out and fades in, it gives it a more like presentational feel, every song is like a separate individual sphere in the album. "Weird Fishes" is probably my favorite at this point.

Me and my friends waited to listen and then all got baked and listened for the first time and it was a religious experience.

I can definitely see this. I didn't like The Eraser that much though...

This website makes me shake my head in disdain. 2 days is really that big of a difference than 1 day.

Actually it's twice as much time so it's really a fairly significant amount of time.

There is no The Eraser influence at all..

Thom said himself he is completely leaving that a seperate thing to the new Radiohead album.

In Rainbows is a melodic rock album..

As the reviewer said as well as Thom.. it's a darker version of OK Computer.

himslasher I think the album does have a very OK Computer like flow but I know Thom Yorke said it was different but you can't deny that The Eraser type thinking is going on his head. I think the way it's recorded has a lot of The Eraser in it as well as how some of the songs are mixed and structured.

Flawed I don't think you should criticize someone for reviewing the album in one day when you're giving the album just one extra day to sink in. Plus you recently posted earlier that you had already started your review on this album.

One day is nothing, two days is nothing, three days is nothing.

It took me two months to fully appreciate OK Computer. I would like someone to write a review for this on January 1st and see what they rate it.This Message Edited On 10.10.07

Holy shit guys, I really love "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi". It's going on repeat forever.

Not even joking, I seriously have had it on repeat for a while. This Message Edited On 10.10.07

finally listened and the album is excellent. I really don't know what to rate it yet, but all of the pieces are there for a memorable album that will certainly be one of the years best.

"Arpeggi" repeat streak has ended; now listening to Boards of Canada's "In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country".

I'm gonna rate this right off the bat and probably revise my rating later if I need to. Also, I like how basically my whole family (barring my mom) likes this album and how they got all excited for it.

Now I'm beginning to love Reckoner..

Gorgeous song.. reminds me of nature.

Seriously.. Doppelganger..

Are you an idiot? This album without a doubt is stemmed from OK Computer. If I had to, I could relate almost every song on the new album to one from OK Computer. It has the same sounds to it.

And no.. All I Need does not sound like an Eraser b-side at all. Jetstream sounds like an Eraser b-side.

All I Need sounds very much like Climbing Up The Walls.

It's stripped down melodic clean rock songs. Aka OK Computer.
