^^^ Yet it fits the song. Though nothing impressive, the bridge has an interesting beat.
And what song exactly is it copied off?????

Btw, very good review, even though I don't agree with your points myself.
Statues is amazing

i didnt read your review yet cause i dont want you to spoil it for me, the album doesnt come out till tomorrow here in the greatest country of the world (Australia). But i did notice you gave it a 2.5. Whats with everyone on sputnikmusic, especially the staff, always bad mouthing the foo fighters. Sure dave grohl was in nirvana, but get over it, this is the new band and you smell like rotten feet if all you ever do is try and compare foo fighters with nirvana. Get a new obsession.

you really can't make such stupid assumptions since you didn't read the review. people are always bad mouthing the foo fighters because they're a mediocre rock band that writes the same songs over and over again.

Review was good. Himslasher needs better music gods. I like the Pretender, but can see see this being average.

One grammatical error & some spelling mistakes here but a good review.

Such a predictable band in general.
hmm.

I have always been on the fence about the Foo Fighters. The singles have never caught my interest. This review is perfect for me on the basis of where I stand on the band. Good review.

I was fairly disappointed in the album. Sure, I only heard the stream, but it was enough. The album isn't bad, it has its great moments, but it doesn't break any new territory.

The Pretender- 1st single. Great rocker. One of the best here.
Let It Die- Good song, but the first part of it is much better.
Erase/Replace- Okay heavy rocker, with machine-gun riffing.
Long Road to Ruin- Again, nice song, but nothing special.
Come Alive- It's epic scope can't save this rather weak song.
Stranger Things- One of the best here. Haunting song.
Cheer Up Boys- THE BEST here. Better be a single.
Summer's End- It has a charm to it, but nothing more.
Ballad of the...-Very good instrumental. Great musicianship.
Statues- One of the best here. Great piano-led ballad.
But, Honestly- The first part is weak, but the ending saves it.
Home- It's nice, but hard to listen to a second time.

Same old stuff from FF really isn't it? Where is the raw, un-adulterated Hard Rock that we yearn for. Come on guys, get a little alternative on us..

Seriously how can you rate this album lower than one by one. If anything that album had 3-4 good songs.

In my opinion this iis much more quality than one by one & IYH (they tried to hard on that album and the only good part is the acoustic stuff). Overall I just don't agree with your rating it's way too harsh.

Their first single "The Pretender" I thought was mediocre at best. Another failed attempt at making something that could've been good, but from your review it's just going to be as I expected; good review, btw.

you said that the album was mediocre and expected or something to that effect...what recent album would you reccomend that is something that is innovative and new?

I'm not asking you so that I can blast you, I would just like to see what you see as innovative, and different. So I could compare. I'm probably the complete opposite as you in being a complete foo fan but I'm not gonna bullshit ya.

why no mention of erase replace? one of my favourite foo songs, other than that and the pretender, this is a bit average.

you know i was thinking about what i considered a bad rating a few minutes ago, thinking that you gave this review a bad rating....then i remembered what it says when you go to rate it

2.5 is average and that isnt good or bad. You did a good job in the review supporting your rating perfectly.

even if an album gets a 2.5....it means its average and theres nothing wrong with an average album and are most probably enjoyable to listen to.

i'm listening to this now for the first time. i have shuffle on and maybe that makes a difference, but five songs in and its very decent. certainly not a 2.5 imo. i'd give it a 3 so far, but that can still go down or up.

a couple of nice acoustic tracks so far. i like Stranger Things quite a bit

Aren't reviews supposed to be from an objective standpoint, or source? This review is ridiculous. You need to get a staff reviewer who wasn't going in thinking it was bad before he even listened to it. Absolute bias my friend. This Message Edited On 10.03.07
