Is this album really as mediocre as people say it is? i haven't heard it or anything... But as far as my opinion on the Foo Fighters go... I like Colour and the Shape. Wasting Light and the self-titled are allright also.. Sonic Highways just sounded like boring filler to me except for the lead single and one or two others... Other singles such as "Best of You" and "Learn to Fly" are standard radio rock, but are much more well-done than a band like say, Nickelback... As for this album goes, The Pretender is arguably one of their best singles... I think it's a decent track.
Nonetheless, really good review, although it really read more like a 2 than a 2.5...

Probably their most underrated album. Number of great songs. Let It Die being a personal favorite. Needs to be listened to on repeat to fully appreciate the growth in song writing on this album.

The build in Let it Die is what makes that song.

Been listening to this a lot recently. It's still pretty good mostly but not their best for sure. It's a good Autumn album though.
