in a year when T.I., Kanye West, and 50 cent all disappoint, will Chamillionaire be the rapper of 2007?

I like Pharoahe Monch's Desire better than this though. But yeah, other than those two, this year hasn't had a very good hip-hop outing.

Great review, I never would check this out otherwise.

And also...why is it that whenever I download a rap album it downloads at 600kbs per second and whenever I try to get a death metal album it fucking takes all day. I got E-40's album in like 4 minutes, then I try to get an Origin album and it takes like 2 hours.

I just downloaded this entire Chamillionaire album in the time it took me to write this comment. wtf.

I'm between a 3.5 and a 4 here. Not sure yet, but I'll go with the 3.5 for now. This Message Edited On 09.18.07

wow 19 songs, a bit overly conceptual for a rap album eh.

and- I saw when he was dressed up like a white guy and thought
"well thats a new low, making fun of the Elephant man..."
And I've heard home rhymed with home, again with home, and to top it off, home. (Belly but i don't know which song.

How does the amount of songs have anything to do with a concept

^^ Hip-hop is like any other genre man. Once you get out of the Top 40 sh-t, it can be good. This manages to be both. This Message Edited On 09.19.07

Industry Groupie is the best song on here closely followed by Hip-Hop Police.

Mm, I downloaded this thinking I wouldn't like it, since I'm not that big on Southern Rap, but the first time I heard Industry Groupie, I just had to play it again... and again, and again.

Great album, though has some bad songs and his flow gets a little monotone over time.

Oh, and the "Glock Clicking" during the chorus of Standing Ovation is lame. This Message Edited On 09.20.07

Final Countdown sample is sick. I always loved that song for cheesyness value. Its weird to listen to it on something cool, but I like it.

the album has way too many cheesy "hook" choruses

I didnt think they were TOO cheesy. I felt like the samples and beats were great and Chamillionaires flow was just not quite up to snuff with some of the maters.

Still pretty good though.
