The best album that came out of the Anacrusis camp.



The first thing you will notice are the goofy, contrasting vocals of Kenn Nardi. One minute he is half-singing, the next he belting out some wicked screams. He's got his own style and the delivery he gives is excellent. The vocals mesh perfectly with the music and they never get old.



The prominent bass lines are what make this album stick out from the other releases. The track's Something Real, Explained Away, and Our Reunion have great bass work.



There are some quality riffs on this album found on such tracks as Still Black, Paint a Picture, and Explained Away. The solos are also quite good, with 'Something Real' taking a melodic approach and 'Dream Again' - having a chaotic but memorable lead.



Maniac Impressions has some weaker songs and the cover isn't spectacular, but there is more good than bad here, making it a worthy pickup for thrash fan.
