sorry but no sorry

great misdirect is the only one that deserves an above average rating, just barely

then this is second least worst

I definately perfer TGM to this, the first 2 songs and Desert of Song are hard jams.

Over the last few years The Great Misdirect is their only album that has grown on me instead of off of me.

If it wasn't for Swim to the Moon it would probably easily be my favorite BTBAM release.

It was just a clusterfuck of genres thrown together and labelled as 'prog'.

@Tuna: This has barely at all during transistions, so if Paralax II is worse god stay away from me.

It's down to personal preference in the end

Parallax 2 has better transitions throughout iirc

I also way prefer Parallax's production, even though the last few songs never seem to hit as hard as they should have tbh

And Colors and Parallax aren't even that different of albums, both of them are clusterfucks of genres labelled as prog and I can understand not liking them but liking one far more than the other never made sense to me

Future Sequence is all over the place. The performances are incredibly tight, but the songwriting is lazy. I never had that problem with any of their albums before the first Parallax release, but it could be rose tinted nostalgia that's clouding my judgement. Nonetheless, I still really enjoy this, Alaska, and I love TGM.

I have a feeling CE will be very similar to Future Sequence

Yeah I think half the reason why Coma Elliptic just doesn't really interest me so far is that this band has grown off of me pretty hard

Nah I still hit up every BTBAM album pretty hard and CE is 20% good 30% shit 50% middling.

it just sucks they focused so much on the circus wank this time. it was perfect when it was used sparingly or for specific tracks (fossil genera and bloom) but in every song? shit gets old fast

also future sequence was much heavier than CE
