Album rules. Listening to it now, and it really does follow along in the same vein as Wolves in the Throne Room, Ash Borer, and a few others.

the dude who wrote most of the stuff is currently in Dispirit and he's used some old Weakling ideas for their songs...albeit in completely different contexts and with super lo-fi recording quality. So I'd suggest checking them out if you're really hankering for anything else 'Weakling.'

Okay I really need to revisit this.
I listened to first track recently and some of the whales sound like Kurt Cobain to me. Like when Cobain is losing shit on Nirvana songs.

Album Rating: 4.5
BECAUSE KURT COBAIN CAN'T BE IN THE SAME SENTENCE AS BLACK METUUUUL URGH!!!1!!
Seriously though I'll relisten and see if that makes sense... iirc Cobain still sounds like someone normal where as the vocals on this album are straight outta torture room.

It's the vocals at 1:14 - 1:30 on Cut Their Grain and Place Fire Therein remind me of Cobain. Like I think it sounds like some of the whales on In Utero. Hmmmmm
