This isnt good or bad around the even mark. Were they ever considered Nu Metal or Hard Rock? Not sure.

I've always considered them hard rock. But that may just be an opinion.

Sinner came out in the early 2000s nu-metal craze, so they were lumped in with nu-metal; but they're hard rock.

I really wish I could disable comments.
I think the most frustrating thing about "our" music is that it isn't as popular or respected as it should be. It's frustrating that every time one of the mainstream bands is putting out a new album, it's all over the place, complete with posters in the windows and hundreds of copies on the front shelves at your local record store. Where as we'll be lucky if we can even find the latest material from one of our favorite bands in stores. No one can deny the fact that there are many bands that have way more talent (whether they sound good or not is purely opinion) than ANY of the mainstream bands period.
Wow this board is not very helpfully. The album is worth checking out. It is very catchy and fun to listen to. It makes me smile and I sing along with it jsut like I did with their first two cds. Many people have said it doesn't sound like their old stuff but it does it is still metal !! Soo Check it out for yourself. I guarentee it is worth it.

If you think this is metal, then you don't know what metal is.

That's great you enjoy it, but I and a lot of other people never will.

If this is nu-metal, then I don't see how it isn't metal.

This album is more hard rock then anything else. It's still just as bad as nu-metal.

Tribe, you're contradicting yourself. You just said they were hard rock.

I agree with the review.

I'd also like to say this. A lot fo people here have compared this album to their older albums. It's totally different to be honest and Ryan McCombs sounds amazing, just like he did in Soil.

Oh, you elitist assholes.
It's not too far of a stretch to call Drowning Pool metal.
