This is pretty much the soundtrack to the apocalypse

Sounds good playing to Fallout 3

Works well when walking in a storm, I can tell you that.

I've been on a Neurosis binge lately
Yeah that final quest in the story with aeon blasting sounds like a hell of an experience
|
| |
Every time I get the chance, I play this album as loud as I can in the dark, enhances the experience ;]

''Yeah that final quest in the story with aeon blasting sounds like a hell of an experience''
That might be my favourite part on the album, that or the end of Locust Star, that riff with those vocals slowly coming in is just brutal and so heavy.

Im in israel right now so it pretty much suits the atmosphere here to an extent

I can imagine, yeah.

I can never decide the best part of this record, I always get chills when the percussion starts, the intro to Purify, the outro to Locust Star, even the loud parts of Enclosure, it all fits together so well

The intro of Purify is so empowering, might be one of my favourite parts too.

I'm such a Neurosis fanboy, but the atmospheres they create are truly transcendent, not to sound pretentious, but it's true

Album Rating: 5.0
Agreed.
I love their atmospheres, it seems that Neurosis was a strong influence on Isis's sound anyway.

neurosis influenced pretty much every post-metal band ever so
|
| |
Pretty much, lots of sludge bands acknowledge them too

If this album is an audial representation of the apocalypse, then enclosure is pretty much humanities last gasps.
Without a doubt one of the darkest records I've ever heard
