"If Beethoven lived now he'd probably play in BTBAM"

Only because he would be deaf.

"I just prefer Mozart

because he writes from the heart and not from following his instinct like Ludwig."

His score for Rango is really good

It doesn't even sound like his usual schtick

This is such a lovely album, but I haven't the slightest clue as to what I'd rate it.

Rate it 4.5. That shows that you're cultured enough to love this, but have a refined taste. Then go 5 Tchaikovsky, Arvo Part and Chopin.

Tabula Rasa is my favourite classical album of all time. Well, it's my favourite thus far.

We'll see! There are many albums like it that I'd place in the higher echelons of classical music. Have you ever heard anything by Henryk Gorecki?

Shut up Baseline. Go and listen to your holy minimalism. Beethoven rules harder than most composers. All who study Beethoven come to appreciate his influence. You sound like a young Stravinsky. Only he quickly came to realise how wrong he was.

Part actually coined the term "Holy Minimalism" (I think. Don't quote me). I for one love it, but Beethoven was a genius, no doubt.

Baseline, Dream Theatre are shit. Beethoven is not. Everyone knows this except you. You prove this to me every day.

I'm by no means a Dream Theatre fan, but they have two very good albums, otherwise I'm pretty disinterested.

You know as well as I do you're up shit creek when it comes to classical. You know about as much as an arts student trying to be cool.

Beethoven rules. Dream Theatre sucks.

You're actually the 'disappointive' (not a freaking word) one. I mean, you probably listen to classical only on headphones - probably shitty ones at that. Like I said no idea at all.

I only listen to classical on headphones =[ That said, I'd like to think I have a pretty firm grasp of the genre and many of its composers. I'd love to get some vinyl though.
