maniacal captures it well, vocals and lyrics also resonate that. thrak is a depressing album, this one is about losing sanity completely. that's how they appear to me

it's my dream to experience the title track live with belew+fripp. a lot has to change for that to happen but maaaaybe it will. there's a good chance this is the most underrated album of all time. it might be my #2 favorite crimson album after discipline at least. and luckily i get to enjoy it regardless.

Wonderful album... Hoovers around 4th to 6th for me... Clearly below red, lizard and in the court and on par with islands and larks tongues.

seei g it live would be a dream!

the remaster from last year is so much better it isn't funny

seeing this material played live, however, is a different story altogether

prozakc blues is one of their top 5 songs for me, especially this version:

fuck that piece of shit remaster. it's not like it's just updated drums, that dude rewrote most of his parts and he overplays whenever he gets the chance. he doesn't serve the songs, at all. that's an entirely different album atmospherically and it fucking blows. you can't notice anything other than the drums anymore, they're way too pronounced.

fuck man, it's such an evil thing to mess with your previous work 20 years later. i mean if they re-recorded every instrument, that would be completely fine. but to mix them together, it's some fucking perverted shit, seriously. 4 people wrote songs together and influenced each other during that time. everything happened as it happened. motherfucking deal with it. electronic drums sounded shit 20 years with it, deal with it. you don't like how it sounds nowadays, deal with it. most of your pretentious, piece of shit fan base hated it, deal with it. you don't just go and change it like a little child would. and they're basically saying the og blows and this is the real version now. how do you do that to the album's fans? how do you do that to your former selves? i love the og to death, am i stupid for liking it now because mr fripp and mastelotto don't?

ps: listening to og and giving it all my love to let it know it's perfect just as it is

No, but you're stupid for getting pissy about a band updating an album to a place they're more satisfied with even if you disagree

"fuck that piece of shit remaster. it's not like it's just updated drums, that dude rewrote most of his parts and he overplays whenever he gets the chance."

the original tracks were lost and thankfully so

better yet is the assumption that they owe you anything whatsoever

" i love the og to death, am i stupid for liking it now because mr fripp and mastelotto don't?"

probably because they most likely know more about the music they wrote than you do

I'll even throw your logic back at you. You don't like the people using their own intellectual property as they desire and to how they see fit? Deal with it.

Don't like Fripp and co. deciding the album wasn't satisfactory and felt it was necessary to revise it to their liking? Deal with it.

Your name is quite fitting because it's clear you only gave your rant here ten seconds to think about before throwing it up for people to glance over.

I love it how it is. But then, why not creating another version. Actually the meta work (the work on the own protfolio, like VERY different live interpretations of different songs by different formations) always has been a major source of the appeal of King Crimson for me. So I would love to hear another take on Construkction, even thou I also don't think it's 'needed'.

This is a great album, but unfortunately, it toys a bit too much on previous themes explored by the band. I enjoy the fact they are using familiar ideas and dig the modern sound, however, it doesn't have such a defined identity IMO.

Really dig a lot of stuff on here. I can see why some wouldn't like it, but i still enjoyed some of the songs.

I understand the shortcomings, but I still really enjoy this LP. I really need to buy the Reconstrukction of Light, because I absolutely loved the new version of Frakctured they shared
