Always liked Pure Morning and they have done some blinding tunes but the band has always been a convention and meant absolutely nothing.

To me this album is surprisingly solid. Convention? Sure, but relative to what? They stood out with their sound amidst the age of Britpop, with a rougher sound and lyrics feeding on teenage angst. That was refreshing.
