This album man... I remember blind-buying this on sale as a kid and being blown away by it. Still nothing remotely like it out there. Golden Dawn < 3

The run from this to Psalm 69 is generally considered their classic period yeah

oh FUCK YES.
This is the glorious start of the golden period. Which goes all the way to 2003 imo, though many won't agree. Their experimental records in the late 90's - early 00's were sick, don't listen to these nerds.

Never heard anything after Psalm 69 tbh but I've heard a couple songs from Filth Pig and they were sick. I've been meaning to check out the rest of their discog.

I love the drum machine on this. All following Ministry records have live drums and sometimes I almost wish they would return to the drum machine.

Their first three are pretty amazing and get way too overlooked in favor of Mind and Psalm 69 which I feel are inferior.

it is affirming to know this is also al's favorite ministry album. im glad this one is a bit of a hidden gem - the soundscape this album presented to me was my secret playground and kept me safe in my teen years. one day i will pay it tribute somehow
