I listened to the first part of this album and actually kind of enjoyed... or sort of like zoned out. Either way it was surprisingly relaxing. My brother came in the room and said he thought he was having a nightmare but it was just the music I was playing. It's interesting if nothing else. Sonic Youth used to blast it at their audiences between sets.

Wow, i mean jut WOW! I didn't think anyone took Metal Machine Music seriously, but this - jut wow. How could anyone listen to at least 5 minutes of this madness!?? But this one guy - Fort23 - actually listened the whole thing.
Read what Lester Bangs said of MMM - that's how seriously this album should be taken. Also - I'm quoting what Mr. Bangs said - ''this is the greatest record ever made in the history of the human eardrum''. Wise words.

This is one almighty finger to the record company, music industry and commodity buying sheep. As a statement it one of the greatest ever made in 'pop' history.
As an album it's complete unlistenable shite.
Lou Reed, what a total legend.
