I'm fairly new to properly exploring metal, which explains why it took me so long I guess... Still Life is a masterpiece, this has room to grow even though it was amazing at first 'glance', I love Ghost Reveries as well although took some time. Damnation is very good although very different (obviously)... crazy band. Once I get my Candlelight set Deliverence will be the last remaining album to hear from the first 8. Binging on Opeth & hoovering up any physical copies I can. Trying to be sensible but it's just too hard...
Edit: when I say "fairly new" I'm just behind, been listening to some stuff for a decade Mastodon, Converge, Dog Fashion Disco, other various stuff but left a lot unexplored.

Why is this the featured review anyway? It's well written but just seems a little odd that an album with a 4.5 average has a 3 review as the main one. You have to welcome an alternative opinion but it doesn't reflect the general perception of the record etc. I guess it's not 'representative'.
