Doolittle does grow off you over time. Prefer Surfer Rosa to it now

RIP in peace hard. I think Pixies grew off u over time in general tbh, jammed Come On Pilgrim few weeks ago and thought it's only a 3 ¯_(ツ)_/¯ . Doolittle is way better though.

If there is a better song for those commutes/walks back home from a drunken escapade in the concrete jungle than Anywhere I Lay My Head then inform me..

The whole album makes down on your luck culture seem so romantic. Most of his discog does, but this album especially.

So I'm digging this for the most part, but it turns me off when he gets too bluesy ala Trout Mask Replica. Which album should I check next then, Bone Machine or Swordfishtrombones?

You're dead to me, Friday. If you don't dig this as much because of the strange blues tendencies though, Bone Machine may not be the way to go, cuz it goes further down that road at certain points.
