Doolittle does grow off you over time. Prefer Surfer Rosa to it now

The whole album makes down on your luck culture seem so romantic. Most of his discog does, but this album especially.

So I'm digging this for the most part, but it turns me off when he gets too bluesy ala Trout Mask Replica. Which album should I check next then, Bone Machine or Swordfishtrombones?

You're dead to me, Friday. If you don't dig this as much because of the strange blues tendencies though, Bone Machine may not be the way to go, cuz it goes further down that road at certain points.
