Still listening to this over a year later. Amazing album.

not his best

Elliot Smith's "best" has really become irrelevant to me... I change my mind between his four best all the time, they're all amazing.

i mean the second half of this record is noticeably better than the first

Really? I've always thought tracks 1,2, and 5 are some of the best he's ever done.

elliotts smith's best has gone between all his albums for me, i even liked fig 8 and from a basment the best at one point.
