This album is unreal. In a good way.

Glad you like it

I haven't listened to it in about a year though. I grew out of it pretty fast. Since their new one is such a stinker, I'll start playing this again.

Wait, you've already heard their new album "Cult of Death"? I've been looking all over, hoping it had leaked...

It leaked and it's bad. Well, it's mediocre, but by the standards set on this album (and on a lesser note Deadmeat), it's bad.

Yeah, I heard their new song and I was just kinda "meh" about it. They kicked out Rotten and got some guy that was more "experienced", but I think he's not as cool...

Yeah the vocals were what killed it for me. Not bad, just not the same. Sounded really generic.

I listened to the mp3 links that were on here and I like them quite a bit. I think ima look more into these guys. They remind me of Destruction and Exodus in a way.

Meelk,
Ummmmmmmmmm Neurosis I can say is the only band that has had some type of creative influence on metal. You have to take into account all of these old thrash metal bands were doing something that no one was doing at the time. With the bands you listed, they all have similiarties to their fellow musicians in the genre (except Neurosis).

I actually like Deadmeat Disciples more than this. I downloaded both and put them on one cd, and while listening to the first and keeping in mind the ratings from this site, I was ready to shit my pants from the awesomeness Deathrash Assault would be compared to that. Maybe I was wrong and my tastes are clashing with this sites, but this is still awesome.

DD is a good album, but Assault packs much more variety, both in the songs and vocal work.

I'll give it a spin after dinner, but based on the beginning of Return Of The Nemesis, this is pretty kick arse. :thumb:

Return of the Nemesis is a great representation of this album, tbh.

This album is intense.

But I had to get it off itunes, and for some gay reason, a few seconds of each song after the first four songs (Deathtrash Legions through Valley of Corpses) skip. It's pissing me off. Maybe i should try harder to find a hard copy.

I've been making some strong purchases lately. My last three purchases were this, M-16, and A Celebration of Guilt, all high 4.5s in my book.
