No way, for me Year Zero is best NIN and is superior to even Downward Spiral, amazing concept with no bad or even boring songs honestly.



Hesitation Marks is pretty good too honestly.



Worst NIN's Ghosts and even that's not that uninteresting.

oh i didn't notice he didn't like y0. y0 is best nin since 1999.

hesitation marks on the other hand is derivative, predictable and above all, insultingly tasteless. i mean, i can understand ghosts and the slip being not that great - these were spontaneous experiments, but hm? no excuses here

Derivitive? With the exception of "Came Back Haunted" "In Two" and "Find My Way" I thought the album went into a new direction for him, far more electronic and basically void of his industrial/heavy alternative roots.

Honestly, I think The Fragile is kind of overrated...and overlong. 3rd least favorite NIN if I'm honest. It still has it's amazing tracks though... have it 3.5'd.

trent havin room to expand like that allows for a lot more of the ambient texture things to come out more, not quite as overboard as ghosts, but still with the killer "a-sides" to bring it all together
