Wow over 50 members. I might check this out, but YCBY was kind of a dissapointment.
Awesome review.

This album is very, very good, at first when I listen to it, nothing really stuck out as being that great. I have probably listened to it 15 times now. I think after 5 times I couldn't take it out of my cd player. My philosophy is always what comes easily, goes easily. I'm really happy to see them take the album in the direction they did. I think if they would have followed up with another album like the last they would have fell flat on their face. The last album was fantastic but, PTW could have easily fallen into that rut.
Track 9 "You Will Not Be Welcomed," is amazing and hard to stop listening to. I'm just happy to have something that is different to listen to instead of all the bands that are chasing each others tails lately. (Patiently awaiting another Glassjaw album.) Perhaps the only complaint that I have had, as stated above as a con, is the fact that the bass is non existent, unlike the last album, and I really have missed that.

I've really only listened to Tear from the Red by them, and I knew they were a flip-flop band but 50 members???
I thought zao having none of the original members was bad.

Coheart - thats is one of the only major flaws of the album. In their previous albums the bass has always been nice and prominent, especially on YCBY.
Still, this album is really good.
Yeah PTW have problems keeping bass players, apparently.

I'll probably still review this, Confessed.
If anyone wants the demos of this album ("You Will Not Be Welcomed," "Oceanbreast" and "The Notches That Create Your Headboard" plus two other tracks), I can send them.

That Wreck Itself Taking... song is pretty good. Near the end the guitar sounds very similar to 'Prematurito El Baby'This Message Edited On 04.11.07

After listening im sad to say that i think this album is no where near as good as ycby, im enjoying it and listening to it alot, but its just really missing the aggression and passion of ycby. Only letter thing really grabs me. Im also not a big fan of the country influences, i far prefer the spacier sound of ycby.

The production on this is also pretty bad i think, the guitar seems to lack any oomph which kills songs like 'the notches....'

is this Metalcore?

To anyone who doubts how great this album is, just give a listen or 4. This is a good/weirdly different album the first listen through and each listen thereafter you just pull more and more from what is actually being created and played before you. It definitely took me about 3 or 4 listens before I truly adored the album like I do now:::
Best? Kinda impossible to beat out Opposite of December because of it's timing of release and what it helped create, but this is quite close...

I'm listening to this again for the first time in a while.
There are a few truly outstanding tracks on here; I prefer Moreira on earlier albums though, particularly YCBY and TOOD.

I hear words like “one of this generations most respected bands” and I certainly would have to agree.
