yeah it's probably a fine place to start. i started w/ ga ga ga ga ga, which is also a good starting point. with the exception of their very early shit, these guys don't know how to make a bad album.

I actually wouldn't suggest staring here, Girls Can Tell, Kill The Moonlight, or Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, hell even They Want My Soul would all be better staring points. This one is a bit inconsistent after the first 4 songs (which are perfect) imo and has kind of a different vibe from most Spoon albums.

Hmmm... based on that comment, Satellite's quip about starting with Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, and the fact that your profile picture is pretty much the album cover without the text, I'm starting to think that maybe I should start there instead
If I end up liking Ga Ga Gad Damn Ga enough then this will probably be my second Spoon album tho, simply because it's already sitting around in my library

You really can't go wrong with that one, it's their most popular and for good reason. It's somewhat of a late career album and in that sense it's sort of a strange place to enter their discog especially since they're so consistent, but in that respect it's no worse than this, and Ga sums up everything that's great about Spoon in 10 songs. I'm probably not giving this album enough credit - it is great despite how frontloaded it is, but it's a bit less accessible imo.
