An interview with Chuck during the recording process for this album came up on my YouTube today.
Seems like he definitely had issues with some bands in the extreme metal scene taking things too far and giving the entire genre a bad rep... Kinda ties into the lyrics for Out of Touch too. Probably helped propel the band's change towards a more proggy sound and less death metal sound over time
