Songs like Keep the Car Running, No Cars Go, this album is fantastic. Can't wait for The Suburbs.

This is one of my favorite albums and honestly it's way more interesting to me than Funeral.

I still have three tracks to go on first listen and I already like this like a LOT more than The Suburbs.

Good album. Very dark at times. Perhaps my favorite is the Well and the lighthouse. Maybe Antichrist- I can't decide.

Whereas their marvellous & critically acclaimed debut ‘Funeral’ was extremely personal, Arcade Fire do a stellar job in tackling thematically larger subjects on follow-up ‘Neon Bible’. And they do so with a supreme confidence in their growth to somehow masterfully balance pessimism & exuberance. Predictably, the music on show here also becomes larger with strings, horns, a choir & even a pipe organ being used to give the album a grandiose feel. Most of it works too, resulting in another accomplished effort from a septet who have already achieved what most bands strive for over an entire career. Recommended Tracks: The Well and the Lighthouse, No Cars Go, Keep The Car Running & Intervention.

Not even close to Funeral for me, though My Body Is A Cage is epic.

You say it's too grand at times then recommend 'Keep The Car Running'? Slight contradiction. =)

Never realized how awesome Antichrist Television Blues and No Cars Go were.

This is inching closer and closer to a 4.5, and Funeral is inching closer and closer to a 5.
