The intro of "Godspeed" sounded very interesting to me, very catchy riffing there but then it turned to the old anberlin sound that gets old very fast, so I think I won't check this out.

This is better than Blueprints, but not as good as Never Take Friendship Personal. I've only had it for two days though, but right now the rating is 3.5

This album has a different feel to it than the others. Yeah, I kind of agree with Storm In A Teacup. Never Take Friendship Personal is really good, better than this one? I'm still trying to decide.

Hey man please update about the show! I've heard so many mixed things about them live from people here and from people I know in person. But yeah, I am still enjoying this very much.

They were actually really good.I don't have this but I could tell all the material was fresh."Godspeed" was tremendous,I was surprised when they played "Ready Fuels".

when I saw them live over the Summer they were pretty good, you couldn't really make out any of the lyrics but it was a lot more intense hard rock than you hear on the albums

Well, I've come to the conclusion that this is my pick for their best album. I just can't decide if it is a 3.5 or a 4.

I would say that either one is a great place to start. Maybe get Never Take A Friendship Personal first and then get this one to see how they've changed. Either one is good though.

I ended up really like this album. I haven't heard much of anything else by Anberlin, but it's a great by itself. Doubt I'll pick up anything else by them though. 4.5 seems to be stretching it, but not by much.

I've been trying to get into Blueprints, but after half a year it hasn't risen from a 3.5
Maybe I'll give it another shot soon.

I saw them live last month too - they put on an AMAZING show. You'd have to REALLY dislike Anberlin to say that their live show sucks.

Bland?! Haven't heard that one before. I'm finally seeing them in May and am really excited for that.

I finally got this the other day. Pretty good album. A little too much synth and mellow tracks when there could have been more Godspeed-esque tracks. Still a good album. As of now for me Blueprints < Cities < Friendship

I remember this was my first impression as well. I don't know if it will be the same for you but for me the slow tracks grew on me a lot. Maybe it was just knowing that they were coming and the fact that I wasn't let down when the energy was put on hold. Give it a few more listens and than see what happens cause like I said that could have just been me.
