The chances are they can. Personally, I haven't heard of any ultra technical band not being able to play their material live.

I'm sure their performance is as robotic and lifelessly tech as the album. I'm lowering my rating and might tweak the review to reflect that.

I forgot that I didn't want to hear this, and ended up listening to it anyways.

This album is ridiculous. Insanely technical, but technical to a fault. The breakdowns are annoying. Each of the songs have little variation. Their music seems totally lifeless. Honestly, the only good thing I can say about this album is that the music is technical, which I sure say a lot. This Message Edited On 02.22.07

Seriously, why this is getting such sh!tty comments and ratings is beyond me. If you can't digest the techyness and speed of it, don't bother. But it's not a bad or average album; they actually write songs, and good ones. I've listened to this constantly for the past week because I haven't gotten around to refilling my mp3-player, so this album along with the latest from Deicide, Necrophagist and Behemoth is all I've been listening to. And this album blows the other ones outta the water.

I would write a favourable review for it, but I'm too lazy. I just urge you all to listen more closely to it.

I just don't think it's varied enough, I mean, it's only 30 minutes but even then it gets a little bland for me.

Guess that's up to personal preference, and no - it's not very varied. But then again, they play techmetal, and it's supposed to sound like this. There's only so much you can vary [any given genre], and most bands don't vary their stuff a lot.

Like our favourite band Protest the Hero, apart from the big breaks in Turn Soonest to the Sea and Blindfolds Aside, "Kezia" is pretty much just one style all the way through. But it's a great style, and superbly executed. Much like this album.

We'll agree to disagree. I get what you're saying, I just don't see it to be honest. I agree that Kezia plays off one basic sound, but the main difference is it can keep my interest for 45 minutes where as this can't do it for 30.

My personal opinion is that BTM is a terrible band. Showcasing technicality and speed doesn't make you good, in the same way that just being eight feet tall doesn't make you an NBA all-star athlete. They're really lacking something; and sure, they have speed, but in the long stretch of talent, they fall short.

For one, I loved the EP, but, when I picked up a leak of this, it completely turned me off from them. I thought this album was horribly bland and boring, and it just did not interest me as much as the EP did. I also preferred the recording quality on the EP much more than this.

I only listened to this album a handful of times, when I picked up the leak, and I doubt that I will ever listen to it again.

So does this have breakdowns or not? I'm quite sick of them right now.

Meh, boooooorrring from what I heard on their myspace page. Incredibly talented members, however. I will check this out and see what I think. I only heard one song on their Myspace.

I think this album is pretty cool. The guitars could do more, but being a drummer, I am highly intrigued at how this motherf***er does what he does.
I think his bass drums are triggered.

Anywho, I listened to his band's myspace songs and the first one (Society's Disposable) isn't bad, but I can see it getting boring after a few listens.

The other one isn't very good at all, but its from their EP.

If these guys brushed up on their songwriting they might be pretty good, but right now, I think Origin is a far superior band that plays a very similar style, so I'll stick with that.

Of course they are, otherwise it would be a blur of noise. You have to trigger at this speed.

Origin aren't nearly as technically oriented as BTM.

If it wasn't triggered you wouldn't be able to make anything out. It's not like he's that douche from Behemoth who triggers his snare.

Inferno only triggers his bass drums

his snare sounds pretty triggered on Apostasy. Either way Inferno is a shite drummer.
