I probably should give inspectah deck more credit, largely for reasons Rowan just stated, he’s one of the only members who have done anything worth a shit in the last decade (that I’ve bothered listening to at least)

RZA’s studio flooded and they lost hundreds of tracks. The Deck debut was uncontrolled substance but the version that eventually got released lost most of its original material in the flood

Maybe if The RZA wasn't so busy playing Bobby Digital and dipping his weed in HONEY, then Inspectah Deck might have been blessed with a classic here. That is not the case though.

I just like Bobby Digital In Stereo for solo RZA. It’s stupid fun for all the reasons kev was mentioning. Considering the concept and lyrics I’m certain it’s supposed to be dumb af, and it succeeds with flying colours at that. When I first heard it I was flabbergasted that he would even put something like that out, but now I just think it’s hilarious and a lot of fun.



In fact, I kind of feel the same way about Bobby Digital as I do about Man with the Iron Fists, or even something like Kujo



It’s not good, but it’s absurd enough that it certainly is entertaining

I do not think I've ever heard Cappa or Masta's solos but I'm pretty comfortable saying I'm not missing anything. from what I've heard yeah U-God's is the worst, he didn't really find a solo sound that worked till Dopium



Deck's debut also sucked but it's not really his fault so he gets a pass, the Czarface s/t is his real debut in my eyes



RZA is always worth listening to for the production but I really dislike the chintzy video game soundtrack vibes on that album lol, also I only like his rapping when he's just yelling about some shit like on Protect Ya Neck, when he goes all mystical and tries to fit 300 words into one bar I go cross-eyed and zone out
