mm, its one of those records that I can neglect for a year and then come back to and feel right at home again, all the lyrics and shit engrained in my noggin.

This would've been my shit if I heard it when I was 14

But I was 17 and was already well past my whiny pop punk phase. Still some really great moments on here

Back when I was 14 most of my favorite albums had like 4-5 good songs max so that prob wouldn't have been a deal breaker tbh

Same, Meaty, same. Except I still loved it at 18, but it's worn off over the last few years

must have been about 17 or 18 when this came out, still enjoy it. thought it had a unique character as compared with a lot of much cleaner whinier pop-punk at the time.

yeah I wouldnt lump this in with whiney pop punk tbh. sure a couple of songs lyrics go a little whiney, but otherwise I think it sets itself apart from that crowd

I think the lyrics are pretty hilarious at times and extremely self-deprecating which is what I really enjoyed along with Bemis delivery. it's one of the bigger selling points of the band imo. very dramatic and theatrical, but that's what makes it good.

agreed, it's off-kilter and over-the-top and very self-aware
