I'm probably not going to pick this one up, since I was entirely unimpressed with Cork Tree, and I hate the single, "Arms Race". P!atD always sounded to me like FOB made crappier, but I honestly mistook "Arms Race" for a new P!atD single until I heard "This ain't a scene, it's a goddam arms race" and remembered "Oh, this is the new FOB single. Great, now they sound like a crappier P!atD."
However, I can't fault the review just because I have a negative opinion of the band - it's a solid review. Great work.

Seriously, wtf. This album, like all of Fall Out Boy's albums, are far from 1s. I don't get what some people hear that the rest of us don't. It's usually based off status/singles. I may not like the new CD as much as some, but I still listen to and enjoy it.

Give it a fair chance and stop being biased.

Fall Out Boy is horrible.
period.
They sound like Backstreet Boys learned how to play their instruments.

That's a pretty bold statement. Try Say Anything if you haven't before.

A 5? I'm a Fall Out Boy fan, but 5 is pushing it on any of their albums.

Quality and musician:
Say Anything > Fall Out Boy

Easier to listen to:
Say Anything < Fall Out Boy

As always, wonderful review. I like FOB, despite the universal hatred surrounding them. Instrumentation definitely isn't the highlight, but Stump's voice and songwriting and Wentz's lyrics add a charm and tongue in cheek-ness to it that other pop punk bands can't duplicate.

I have only heard the single and I like it. I'm debating whether to blow 15 bucks on the album though... nah. I'll probably end up borrowing it.

And I seriously doubt that anything fall out boy has done or ever will do will even come close to sounding like AFI. *AFI fanboy*
