I can't understand how people think Folie a Deux is worse than this. This is a great album, yeah, but Folie a Deux is a masterpiece.

Their latest album is the only one I can't stomach at all. Even Save Rock and Roll and American Beauty/Psycho had plenty of surprisingly good moments.

@sowing sure.. you can find a few moments here and there on all their post-hiatus stuff, but they don't come anywhere near touching anything pre-hiatus. I know you are much more into the pop sound and hold save rock and roll in much higher regard though. Only track that really interests me off that album was The Phoenix.

i think the first four tracks and "young volcanoes" are ok. not enuf to revisit the album more than once every year or couple of years tho; still trash pop, just slightly enjoyable. mostly i just like hearing pat's voice on some shit that wasn't released 10 years ago, cuz i've played the old stuff to death

The Phoenix, My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark, Alone Together, and Just One Yesterday are as good as anything pre-hiatus. Yeah I still view it as a step down, but if I can get 4 tracks worth returning to on the regular out of a pop/pop-punk album, it's at least worth a 3.5 to me.

Bang the Doldrums is underrated and super catchy. Kinda surprised they never released it as a single.

This album was the biggest letdown of my middle school years ... I did however learn to appreciate it over time

This is purely a nostalgia band which makes this album by far their best because holy shit the first half of this was LITERALLY middle school
