this has a couple of their god tier riffs tho ie chorus of i hate it too / end of i’d like your hair long. downward to me if anything is more atmospheric / slow

The original plan was to check em both, but when this didn't really click for me, I am guessing I put off Downward

Not sure what the production problem here is, but everything is way too low compared to later work. I even bought the CD hoping it was just a bad audio digital copy I had, but it sounds the same way.
Anyone else experience that?

I think the vocals, whether it be the performance and/or the mix, was my initial turn off from this
