It has so many more influences that though. you can sense grind influences, death, metalcore, hardcore, tech. you reach a point where theres no longer a need to label a band like this. they sound like between the buried and me.

This is really great stuff, but kind of disappointing tbh.

How so? Do you find it disappointing compared to the silent circus or just because of hype?

I guess it was the hype. I wasn't expecting some godly, genre defining, album of the decade, but I thought it could have been a little bit better.

Don't get me wrong, I really like this, and I'd love to hear more from the band. Perhaps I just need to give Alaska a few more listens.

Mike it'll grow on you. When it first came out I thought it was garbage compared to the Silent Circus. I sat on it for a few weeks and then BLAMO, it clicked.

I'll do that then.

It's pretty good. It isn't as good as many people say it is imo. I mean, technically this album is top notch for -Corish stuff, but I think it lacks standout tracks, besides Selkies.

I love dipshits who rate things based on the genre and level of technicality because what's actually going on is far beyond them.

The structure of the songs in this album is what makes it superb for me. Oh yeah, the vocals kick major booty.

Havent heard anybody really talk about Primer, am I the only one that loves that song?

I love every song on here, but Backwards Marathon drags on way too long.

I love the middle section. It's drawn out, but I like the atmosphere it creates.

Nice review sir, I shall check this out.
But wtf happened to the Maiden avatar? Everytime I saw I review submitted by you, I thought of Eddie...but I guess I have to move on, haha.

That was pretty dumb. So just because I don't like this album as much as you, you're going to try to make some bulls*** accusation?

Selkies is the obvious highlight. The melodic solo at the end is superb and has some fucking orgasmic sweeps in it.

The entire song itself is orgasmic.
