Couldn't find a high enough quality dl for it. Gonna wait a while.

But like return to form good status?

I'm still kinda stuck on SCIENCE's sound, but I still love their two albums after.

Bullshit. Brandon sounds beautiful, it's consistent, it doesn't corpsefuck the band's past in order to get people's attention. It's a relevant album for Incubus to have right now.

He definitely sounds great (or beautiful), but I think that the music is centered way too much around his voice. That doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, but the rest of the band really suffers, because apart from Mike (and that's on only a few occasions, I believe), none of them display that great musicianship from their previous albums. Could have been another Brandon solo album and I wouldn't notice.

If you take their newest album for what it is, it's pretty good. It's well-written for sure, it's just not Incubus. The title-track is gorgeous. The next song is way too saccharine for my tastes though. I hated it on first listen but it's settling between a 3 and a 3.5 for me right now.

Well, I'll definitely take that into consideration when I give it a listen.

Isadore is my personal favorite at the moment, great pop tune.

Also don't expect anything heavier than "Adolescents" if you've listened to that one. There's some distortion at the end of "The Original," and "In the Company of Wolves" has some very interesting segueing passages, but besides that it's basically an acoustic pop record. The last song has an interesting modular shift in the chorus actually.

I forgot how fucking awesome the song "Pardon Me" is. Never was much into these guys but man that song kills, the vocals and lyrics in the chorus are incredible.

Will I ever get to where I'm going?

If I do, will I know when I'm there?

If the wind blew me in the right direction,

Would I even care?

I would.

So don't let the world bring you down.

Not everyone here is that fucked up and cold.

Remember why you came and while you're alive

experience the warmth before you grow old.
