it's a 2-disc simultaneous detail so you've gotta get your claws out if you want to hear it digitally. went for very slight pan of each track left/right and gave the rock version a minor lift for the first track only. then split each into two halves (with no break between) so that each track name is reflected somewhat accurately on my list

yeah. could just have combined the two at equal pan/equal volume, but I did that for zaireeka and ended up wishing i'd given it some extra detail lol

and yeah could do, but I think it's more for people to work out their own way into this ;]

well, gimmick or not, this is their best album so that is a fine choice

Certainly underrated. I'm baffled by people that laud Flood but don't also appreciate Absolutego and this.

Flood is a lot prettier than this, but I'm starting to feel it

That's very true. I'm just a sucker for the musical equivalent of edging at large. Take your time before getting me off and I'm all yours, pretty or not

I imagine Absolutego deters people from listening because it's one long track not split into parts and Dronevil deters people because of the two halves you play at the same time gimmick

my opinion on Flood is that Part II is god tier and the rest I could do without

I run the same game with this release as I do The Galilean Satellites- just listen to the side where the band plays. I've done both, sure, but I don't think I get much more out of both at once

I don't think I'd ever want to hear the first track without the cymbal part from the drone version tbh

Jamming them separate (do not got the time to slam 'em together in a self mix lol) and this drone side is incredible by itself, so eerie and dilapidated

don't skip out on the collabs like rainbow. boris has a lot of hidden gold.

((I would certainly not say no to a specialty Johnny mix if it is on the table and not much trouble))
