this is such a killer ablum. so underrated on this site. it's like the perfect mix of pearl jam, faith no more and guns n' roses, with something that gives me a bowie/queen vibe

I know, I love how Wood is a cross between a grunge and hair metal singer. He has that hair metal snarl when he finishes his vowels

haha yes it is, although I've lightened a bit over the years when it comes to ratings (plus I know my
tastes well enough to the point where I don't often check out or listen to albums enough that I'd rate
below a 3).
but yeah this has all the traits i look for in a 5: consistency (little to no bad/mediocre songs),
epic moments, personal nostalgia to a specific time period in my life, replay-ability and influence to
its genre or scene

dude Heartshine to close out the first half and Captain Hi-Top to start off the 2nd is just killer

I prefer Shine to this, mainly because of "Mindshaker Meltdown" and "Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns"
It was kind of lame that "Crown of Thorns" was included on Apple without it's other half...

Nice review, gunna listen to either this or superfuzz after twerking it for the man tonight. m/

A great album. A great sleaze/street-metal album...nothing is comparable to 'alternative rock' nor 'grunge' in here. The only two things this band had in common with the 'grunge' scene were Seattle and future members of Pearl Jam...

The hair metal evolution that never happened. Also my excellent work soundtrack for the next hour or so.
