I hate all of my friends. They all lack taste sometimes.

My favorites have to be Passenger, Beware, Bloody Cape and Digital Bath. Each are absolutely perfect.

It's like a tie for second best between this and KNY now.

KNY will never top SNW for me. This just had that...battered and broken down feel to it, ya' know? Like that little ounce of "Fuck. My life's gone to shit. Let me make a dark and beautiful record even under shitty recording and personal circumstances." It gave the album an extra unf of raw emotion and it played into every musical aspect of the record, from the instruments to the vocals and the lyrics.

It's pretty surreal how amazing this turned out given those circumstances too. Gotta love when they experiment and if they combine both this records sound and KNY's sound that'll be one hell of a record.

A girl can dream. I have high expectations for Gore. It really feels like it'll reach them. I can just feel it.

I can't help but wonder if all the disconnect in the group is what made this album so incredible. Every time I hear Combat I imagine the "whose side are you on" being the band members having an argument

^ Also Mongi we have the same list for favorite tracks, such good stuff

i don't know if it's underrated but it's definitely one of their best (at least if you forget white pony exists)

For me it's sheer coincidence that this album became so great because their s/t was recorded with the same general disconnect and that's my least favorite. If anything it was even worse here, but nonetheless the final product is stellar.

Nothing beats Diamond Eyes

It's still my favorite, even with a slight edge over White Pony

change of producers after 10 years probably had something to do with it as well
