"Here Is No Why" is such a friggin' underrated song

@Flugmorph - were you listening to Howard Stern last night by any chance? My dad and I were listening to an interview of the Pumpkins from 2014 and they played "Zero" in (I think?) Stern's studio, sounded killer

would've never thought they go so hard on some of these tracks like tales of a scorched earth and X.Y.U.

thats some serious sludge and hardcore goodness

Flugmorph, I have to agree, there's so much here that it's hard to process at first but with time it grows on you.

I'd say I was the opposite of Log, this took longer to click but I prefer it to Siamese now.

I like the grander scale and sound it has over Siamese, but Siamese is still damn fine

"Like, how sweet does it sound? Cuz the actual CDs are a little quiet in comparison to other albums I own."

That means it's mastered quieter, which is a good thing. You can turn it up loud and it sounds better.

As far as remasters go, 90% of the time they'll be just mastered louder and therefore sound worse (less dynamic range, less breathing room, less crisp/duller, etc.).

the difference between remastered mcis & the older one is pretty noticeable on some of the tracks if you a/b 'em, on others it's subtle to the point of unnoticeability

not a bad job overall tho

Looks like the remaster for MCIS actually has pretty similar dynamic range (slightly lower on some songs). I wonder why they even bothered remastering it.
