‘check dodheimsgard‘
On topic / confessional time, I’d checked 666 a while back and decided to stick it on again recently… had to turn it off after like 7 mins because it was just that unsatisfying (played this instead, 😆)

Unsolicited opinion, I found 666 a bit higgeldy-piggeldy

Yeah, the combination of sounds really didn’t do much for me at all initially, whereas last week’s ‘attempt’ failed to get going as I lost patience quickly. I might try again, but don’t want to force it at this stage.

RIITIIR and Heimdal are above all of their post-Eld shit. Still didn't listen to the first 3 albums as I understand it's not really the "same band"

I've heard 11 of their albums Flug, lol (but yes, there are more). Incidentally RIITIIR was my least fave of the entire selection... well either that or Utgard.

gotta let my newfound elitism hang out on enslaved lol.
idk why they would be a different band on the first 3 though, its a pretty logical progression from those.

Yeah I think so too. They develop step by step between albums, which, I'd say, is a very rewarding journey to follow along.
Also Mardraum/Isa for best two Enslaved.
Also also a 2.0!!!? I must revisit this. But maybe it indeed is where I lost interest in them, post-Isa, with Ruun still being enjoyable but Vertebrae and this one not doing it for me. Hmmmm, something to look into 🤔

Whoa, that is low Trif. I don't enjoy this as much as I used to, as I'm more interested in mid-era Enslaved these days (whereas I'd classify this as 'latter-day' or something). Hmm.

Same, mid-era is where it's at for me. They were untouchable during that stretch.
