No wonder I dont like their music. Im a spry 33. I feel like there was a big drop off in the converge fan base if you were born after 1989 ended. People born 1979-89 are probably their main fanbase.

I'm 19 and have been listening to Converge regularly since when I was 15/16. My journey with them started as a new metal fan and loved Disturbed, A7X, Slipknot etc, and I played Concubine. It didn't quite click with me initially lol.

'People born 1979-89 are probably their main fanbase'
hmm, not sure this is true and I fit the criteria
One of those bands that has (and will continue to) traverse many generations due to their reputation plus the fact they're still making music / the members are prominent in their field etc. I don't see any reason why young 'uns today wouldn't be getting into them. I mean they would probably get a right shock hearing this if they started with Bloodmoon, but the latter's existence is still a recent 'entry point' for awareness if nothing else. Same as a lot of folk got into this band via the AtF or AWLWLB eras
