this is really conflicting cuz if u picture him as a boy this is like some Coldplay meets sad-boi post-twinkly alt-metal but if you picture her as a girl this is some broody gothic rock and one of those two things is just objectively 5000x less lame than the other

it really begs the question, do i buy into an illusion and trick myself into thinking a mediocre album is a passable album or do i go stick my dick in the garburator?

i'm gonna give this the benefit of the don't and slap it with a passing grade. some cool instrumentation here and there and their cool female vocalist who is female has a beautiful female voice for a female really steals the show. really just a couple unwelcome male guest features away from a 5.

Interesting. I think it sticks out amongst these songs. Not like a sore thumb either. More like the rest of the album is kind of meandering and at times a little flat. Halogen is very tight, does it what it needs to do, and ends. What we've lost is great though

I just didnt jive with the guest vocals I think. Distracted me from anything else going on in the song

This review rules. As does this album - I really wonder where they go from here. I bet they've got one more real heavy one before they return to this vein.

I wish Jesse Coppenbarger's cameo was more apparent on "Slipping" - him jamming with O'Brother is such a cool thing. I miss Colour Revolt so much - though I'm glad we still get some El Obo.
