I never really minded how he produced the albums but he was also involved in the songwriting. He seemed to always be a part of the magic they had going on for a while

Rob Graves was a member of the band without him being a member of the band essentially, he wrote about 80% of their first album iirc. It's almost like he's paying them to perform the songs he wrote.



He's good at the orchestrations, which I know is an essential part of what makes Red unique, but there's something about the guitar tones that he does that irks me so much, even on their best albums. And lord almighty it's so fucking present on this album.

Cold World isn't that bad but it sounds like they wanted strings but didn't really try to properly implement them like they used to with Rob... Minus it All goes kinda hard though, really like the aggressive riff combined with the great chorus.

I glanced the new songs over and they sound alright. I think Randy made a good job handling the production, but I'll listen to it fully later today.
