Excellent review. I like Powerman 5000's earlier stuff as a guilty pleasure but yeah this sucks. though I disagree somewhat on Static-X but still excellent review.

To me this album isn't all that bad. I mean, yes, it's unmistakeably cheesy and very bland in some areas, but the bouncy rhythm is consistent for the most part and makes songs like "Invade, Destroy, Repeat" and "Modern World" all the more catchy and accessible. My personal highlight is the one song which doesn't follow this general formula, the nicely written "I want to Kill You", for me personally the highlight of the album.

"I remember the goofs in school that loved Powerman 5000, White Zombie/Rob Zombie, Korn, Mushroomhead, Mudvayne, etc. Those baggy black pants with chains and whatnot. Ugh. "

WHite Zombie and Rob Zombie are awesome, i mean the latter especially for his horror themed material and references backed by some cool ass industrial music. not to mention his live shows kick ass. i wouldnt put him and his former group alongside Korn or Mudvayne at all
