Yeah I actually still listen to this one when I am in the mood, like I was yesterday. I really enjoy Shameful, Our Sick Story, My Fork in the Road, and Ex's And Oh's save for the lyrics.

This is an improvement on theyre previous albums and ep's. Brandon has improved his singing but Alex just sucks on most of them.
It sounds like hes being strangled on The Creature and the others arent much better.
Tracks to check out:
Shameful
The Theft
we stand up
My fork in the road.
purchase it if you must.

This album kept me occupied and interested for a good while, i still listen to it. I can't quite see where you get your points from. You said yourself that you either hate them or lave them. You seem to hate them, so doesn't that make your review a little biast?

9 times out of 10, people who use the word "bias(ed)" don't know the correct usage.
Atreyu is far from winning over plenty of listeners for the sole reason that it seems almost impossible to be neutral about this band you either love them or hate them
Key words being almost impossible. Considering I gave the album a 3, which isn't praising or trashing them, I would think that most people would pick up on the fact that the group can now be thought of as something in the middle (like the rating shows). For future reference, I think Atreyu has definite talent but needs to work on some aspects of their music, a 3 is NOT a hate rating by an stretch, and please use spell check or something next time. Aspects such as an infinitely better frontman and lyricist.

Possibly and certainly. Alex sounded surpringly good when I saw them live recently.

wow, you apparently haven't heard Aiden, or any amount of country.

Some country is good.

i would honestly rather die a slow and painful death rather than listen to any country at all.
although, i'd rather kill myself than listen to Aiden, they seem pretty much to be the worst things ever.

That's just being stupid, you can't judge an entire genre based on the few bands in it that you've heard.
Pretty good album, a few good songs on it, but other than that, it gets old.

That could be arranged.
(So, you don't like Johnny Cash?)

Country rules.

Just when I think the intellectual level of an Atreyu thread can't get any lower, I find a gaping hole in the floor.

burn ftw. Go steerpike.
Yeah so this album is terrible. Like, really terrible.

wow, it's like a spark in a room full of matches.
Otisburn, i live in a place where country is more popular than rap, i've heard a lot of country, both of my parents listen to it on road trips, my brother listens to "the only good country band" Rascal Flatts. I find the genre to be truly atrocious.
Metallicaman, no i do not like Johnny Cash, nice try though.
Steerpike, as much as i'd like to argue with you on whether or not i can be intellectual, i think i might just hold back, it's not worth it, though i do find humor in what you have posted.
Why is it that whenever i say i hate a genre of music, people assume i'm completely uneducated on what it is, but when someone hates metalcore, there's a gigantic bandwagon to jump on.
Some people like Atreyu, you can't put them down for that.

Country radio blows. It's pop with cowboy hats. Give me the old balladiers.

I assume that anyone who callously slags off an entire genre has to have some amount of mercury in their diet.

I never fault people for taste, just for saying stupid shit.
