I'm about to 5 this. Every time I listen I find something else that's awesome.

Don't worry Evreaia I read them and (pardon my french) they're fucking ace!
Dil has some of my fav:
Qu’attends-tu, mon frère, fleuri de vieillesse,
Tout alourdi des chimères du monde ?
Tes rires sont épuisés, et tes sourires,
Ont une teinte décisive de noyade.
Qu’attends-tu, dans la chute des espoirs ?

Une Épitaphe De Suie has really uplifting lyrics too:
Lorsque des constellations, dans les danses du néant,
Qui scintillent ensemble d’une phosphorescence unie,
Nous entendrons un grand requiem de voix enlacées
Chantant par cycles la réunion tel un drapeau portant
Les couleurs des rires et des peines alunies
Best part is the: ENVOLLLLLLLLLLLLE TOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIII!

the ending of Les Forges!
"Ô Petite Humanité,
Qui crève dans l'aube des jours,
Tombées, comme une flamme silencieuse,
As-tu dévoré tes rêves ?"

Actually, if they're as good as you guys are saying, they might be what pushes this over to a 5 for me. That's basically what happened with Portal of I.

never cared much about lyrics for metal bands

I don't even pay attention to the lyrics usually, the vocals are just another instrument to listen to when I listen to metal.
|
| |
if i can hear them they will matter, but esp in metal i just don't even care unless they're english and intelligible

Sometimes I like instrumental stuff more than stuff with vocals even, I like it when the music itself can convey the emotion and you can come up with whatever meaning you want for a song/album rather than having it told to you :p

I mostly agree with you guys, but that's why when there ARE great lyrics, it's like a super
special awesome bonus that you weren't expecting.
I'm a writer, so I'm a sucker for things like rhythm and assonance and odd unique references in
lyrics. Good poetry + good metal = major win.
I love the lyrics of and themes behind all my 5's, so I'd say I'd have to love that about this
album as well in order to 5 it.

^ this, I usually don't care lyrics, but when they are awesome (like in this case) Its awesome. Its good to see a band that at leats tries to be poetic in their depressive misery.

When I really dig an album I usually check the lyrics to have an even better understanding of it regardless of its genre,
when the said album that I really dig has terrible cheesy lyrics it's often a big prob for me.
