Lol. This has been on my iPod for a week and still haven't listened

Exoplanet was predictable, sure, but at least it was indicative of a band that knew what the hell it was doing.

This. This has a lot of cool ideas but this has sloppy song writing and a lack of coherency for me.

I'm starting to think people just throw around the term "sloppy song writing". I've seen a few people say the composition on this is poor, but I Just don't hear it.

I find that the placement and introduction of heavy parts is poor

I think Holomovement is very well written. But the majority of the rest of the album just has extremely poor transitioning. Everything sounds nice, they just need some serious work on transitioning from soft ambient parts to crushing heavy parts. After the first listen or two, the poor transitions stand out like sore thumbs.

Absolutely agree with ILJAJLM. The transitions just seem too forced, not natural at all.
They should have focused on solid transitions.

Okay so now I know you are talking out of your ass. Holomovement has THE sloppiest transition from slow to heavy on the album. I have relistened to the album about 10 times now and I do not see where you are getting these said "sloppy transitions". Please elaborate upon your argument. The song writing on this album is incredible and the people who say it's sloppy are just ignorant and already had a biased towards the band and or genre.
Also, to whoever said I shouldn't 5 this right away. I listened to the album 6 times before I rated.

That's a fairly bold assumption to be operating off of.

I suppose I can concur with this for the most part. The heavier section in "Holomovement" seemed drastically out-of-place the first few listens. Though, I'll defend them by saying that BTBAM do the awkward-transitions exponentially worse.

Holomovement was great, I was pretty excited hearing it, but the rest was boring.
