hmmm, I could see you coming up with that comparison from the Act albums (although, its been Fall out Boy that I've heard them compared to in the past)

I'm surprised, however, that you felt a Panic! vive from colors, since their base sound was changed so much, excluding violet, which was basically The Dear Hunter doing what they know best: indie pop with tons of theatrical influences

I'm loving black, Violet and White. Couldn't bring myself to care for the rest of the album, sounded old and dull. Does anyone appreciate the red through to indigo EPs?

so i made my own color spectrum mixtape and i'm pretty satisfied with the results, comes out to be a nice 45 minutes. i did

1) Lost But Not All Gone

2) Filth and Squalor

3) We've Got a Score to Settle

4) A Sea of Solid Earth

5) A Sua Voz

6) Crow and Cackle

7) The Collapse of the Great Tide Cliffs

8) Progress

9) Therma

10) Lillian

11) Home (makes such a good closer)

1 song per EP except 2 indigo and 2 white, ends up flowing pretty nicely and gets rid of a lot of mediocre filler. i definitely recommend anyone who doesn't feel like listening to 36 songs try out something like this

A mixtape seems like a good idea. The more I listen, the more I realize that while well executed, many songs seem like bland filler compared to the ones that stand out. Bumping down to a 4.5 because of this realization.

I was tempted to go down to 4, but She's Always Singing, Lost but Not All Gone, and all of Indigo make the album worth it.

Never thought when I reviewed this that it would end up threatening to take hold of the highest average rating in sputnik history

OK Computer, Illmatic, and 36 Chambers also have a 4.6. There might be more with that rating that i'm not aware of, but i can't think of anything on here that i've seen with a 4.7 rating (other than this) with a significant amount of ratings.
