Surrounded is special. Could be my favorite DT song.

Also that part ~2:35 into Take the Time ("unbroken spirit"...) is so wholesome

My name is James Labrie and I'm here to sayyy...

TBH Labrie's rap verse is a cut above most white metal vocalist raps.

I never understood the problems with Labrie. The man is, or if you prefer, was a great vocalist. Of course his voice isn't the same today. But, that is usual with many other singers.

I *kinda* get it with Labrie, his voice gets really nasal in a grating kinda way when he belts it out sometimes. You hear it a lot these days. Dude has (had?) such good of his voice back in the day though, so for the most part he sounded great. He's theatrical in just the right amounts, too. He really gets too much shit

But also, some people have no problem with Periphery's vocals, and even though I do enjoy Periphery, Spencer's probably always going to bother at least a little so maybe it's kinda like that

Yeah, I agree. I always like his theatrical style, especially on stage. I saw the band 4 times live and probably I'm going to see them again this year since Portnoy is again on board and I'm a huge fan of him.

Definitely. Portnoy returning has definitely made the band interesting again to me

Im sure its already been addressed here, but that footage of Devin Townsend singing their stuff live with Labrie really made a stark contrast haha.
