iommi, page, lifeson
some of marr is fantastic too
|
| |
Yeah, Marr is great. All are good, but Iommi wrote Lord of this World, ergo Lord of the Riffs, guys
|
| |
(And ofc Page & Lifeson are awesome too, omg)

Holy Mountain is the holy grail for riffs
|
| |
I haven't heard it, so I can't really argue with that
|
| |
Holy Mountain rules but Iommi is the true riff master.

jimmy jimmy jimmy !

dude jimmy rocks but he stole half his shit, better all round player than iommi but not when it comes to the riffs
|
| |
First six records are better, IMO. The reign of Sabbath will never end!

Iommi can shred too as we can listen on 'falling off the edge of the world'. He's the main reason that I play a Gibson SG.
Ritchie Blackmore is my favorite of all time though.
|
| |
Or Symptom of the Universe. Thrashing as hell!
Yeah, Blackmore's the man. Damn good guitarist!
|
| |
I prefer Blackmore to both Iommi and Page. All three are legends though.

DUNN DUNN. DUH-DUH-DUUUUUH DUH-DUH
|

Must admit I like Iommi the most, but Page just behind him and Blackmore not far either. All three are amazing.
|
| |
Blackmore was more original than Page and was better live imo. His improv playing was second to none back in the early 70's.
|
| |
He's freaking good on Made in Japan.
