It’s tasteless trash just like his music but yeah pretty much

Oh yeah shame about the new album art. Hopefully the music makes up for it.

Can't tell if Colton is baiting or just can't google

but you see "transphobe" is harder to make puns with

Murphy also asked people not to use the word “Terf” in her controversial post, which, like, is the number one way to get people to draw the association.

Mmm I was listening to the new one and searching for reviews and the first results were about her comments on puberty blockers. Career suicide loading complete I guess, Ninja Tune decided to drop her too.
Anyway the new one is not even good (shrug).

trans woman here-- because restricting access to puberty blockers in youth skyrockets rates of trans suicides and opens the door for the slippery slope of arguments against *adults* being able to access HRT (see: legislature in florida for examples of this continued advance in political goals). no matter where one personally gets off with their belief, no matter how well-intentioned, pushing the narrative that puberty blockers for children are somehow "dangerous" (despite medical research suggesting otherwise) is the kind of talk that leads to kids dying

'I just really doubt that she actually HATES trans people or is prejudiced against them'
That's not the point - I don't think she hates trans people either. Spreading misinformation regarding puberty blockers is directly damaging trans youth, however. And calling them 'confused little children' out of concern (or for whatever reason) contributes to belittling what they vocalize they need to improve their mental well-being. Being queer, it's also a major red flag whenever someone proclaims 'we have to protect the children' in regard to their desires and bodily autonomy.
It's uninteresting whether or not she's a transphobe. I also think rationalizing scepticism of trans people is, sadly, common amongst her age group. But in the lens of being regarded as a pop diva who's actively involved queer people and aesthetics in her career, it's not unreasonable to be disheartened and find it hard to keep this separate from her work. I'm a huge fan (or potentially was), but as of now, I don't feel like listening to the new album.

Her "apology" was very much "sorry about it" and her Twitter replies and posts have just been leaning into her new transphobic fans.
I'm calling her a TERF because they love to use the guise of "protect the kids" and women's rights to just be blatantly bigoted. Yet they only focus on trans people and not on people actively harming children or that would definitely restrict women's rights, in fact they often side with those people.

"I'm a huge fan (or potentially was), but as of now, I don't feel like listening to the new album."
Same and honestly if she had apologized and said that she would try to be more informed versus just "deal with it" I would have listened, but now I just don't like her anymore, hope she likes her new fans
